Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson is seeking compassionate Caregivers to support seniors across North Texas, including Addison and surrounding towns. You will assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility, transportation, and companionship, delivering 1:1 care with empathy and reliability.

We offer flexible shift options (full-time, part-time, 8/10/12 hour shifts, PRN) and competitive pay with benefits such as health/dental/vision, paid time off, weekly pay, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in home care or elderly care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pet-friendly environment and compassionate demeanor.
• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication and monitor health needs.
• Assist with ambulation, mobility, and transportation to appointments.
• Support personal care and hygiene, and meal preparation with client input.
• Perform light housekeeping and shopping tasks as needed.
• Provide a pleasant, supportive companionship and report incidents promptly.
• Be adaptable, communicative, and reliable in emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Valid Drivers License
