Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support seniors in Richardson and surrounding communities. You will assist with daily living, mobility, meal prep, and light housekeeping, delivering compassionate companionship.

Open to positions with Full Time or Part Time shifts; many opportunities across Richardson, Plano, Garland, and nearby areas. Training is provided to enhance dementia or Alzheimer’s care as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate care.
• Minimum 2 years of caregiving or elderly care experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of safety and first aid procedures.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
