Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson TX is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our North Texas team. Our Richardson office serves Addison, Carrollton, Dallas, Garland, Plano and more, offering day, morning, afternoon, weekend and flexible long or short shifts; we provide training in dementia or Alzheimer's care to grow your skills.

As a Caregiver you will support seniors with medication reminders, mobility, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship, while building meaningful

Qualifications

• Caregiver passion and commitment to compassionate care.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Pet-friendly environment.
• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Strong knowledge of first aid and emergency response.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and modest cooking with dietary awareness.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and reliability.
• Strong ethics and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Valid Drivers License
