Job summary

The Division of Youth Services in Colorado seeks a Classroom Teacher to educate adjudicated youth in a positive learning environment, aligning with state standards, PBIS, MTSS, and trauma-informed practices. You will design lessons, monitor progress, and collaborate with staff to support youth education and safety.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and a valid Colorado teaching license. Preferred candidates have experience with career readiness and post-secondary transitions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education or a related field.
• Current, valid Colorado Teaching License.
• Experience teaching in a school setting, preferably with at-risk or adjudicated youth.
• Ability to implement PBIS and trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct classroom instruction to adjudicated youth.
• Align instruction with CDE standards and diploma outcomes.
• Collaborate with Central Education Office and treatment providers.
• Maintain accurate records in IC/Trails and meet deadlines.
