Job summary

Lorain City Schools is seeking an on-site paraprofessional/Hourly Support Staff to provide job coaching and support for students with disabilities. You will break down duties into trainable steps, collaborate with school staff and business partners to learn expected tasks, and ensure compliance and safety for students across the school year.

The role operates on a 184-day work year with compensation determined by placement on the Non-Represented Paraprofessional/Hourly Support Staff salary grid.

• Communicate with school staff and business partners to learn the tasks students will be expected to perform.
• Work closely with students to ensure compliance and safety measures are followed.
• Versatility in handling a variety of tasks and adjusting to new work environments throughout the school year.

Description:

To provide assistance in the performance and monitoring of job duties and social integration skills, reinforce workplace behavior, and ensure youth follow minor labor laws both on and off of the Lorain City Schools (LCS) campus.

Terms Of Employment

• 184-day work year with actual work dates determined annually by the Treasurer or his/her assigned designee.


• Compensation determined by placement on the Non-Represented Paraprofessional/Hourly Support Staff salary grid.
