Blue Cliff College in Gulfport, MS seeks a Director of Career & Student Services to lead student advising, retention initiatives, and comprehensive career services. You will build employer relationships, coordinate on‑campus and off‑campus events, and guide graduates toward employment success.

The ideal candidate will oversee student support resources, manage the Student Ambassador program, and collaborate with program chairs and faculty to ensure high placement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, higher education, business administration, HR, or related field.
• Experience in career services, student services, advising or workforce development.
• Experience in a college or postsecondary educational environment preferred.
• Knowledge of career development and retention strategies.
• Ability to develop relationships with employers, community organizations, students, graduates, faculty, and staff.
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, organizational, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to organize career fairs, workshops, meetings, and events.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership, supervision, and evaluation of student and career services activities.
• Counsel students and graduates on career goals, job searches, resumes, and interviews.
• Develop relationships with employers and community partners to create opportunities.
• Conduct employer outreach and expand graduate employment outcomes.
• Assist with academic preparation, licensure processes, and career planning.
• Attend orientation and advise incoming students on career services.
• Develop workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and job-search strategies.
• Present career development content in classrooms and seminars.
• Monitor retention and reach out to at-risk students.
• Coordinate on-campus career fairs and employer events.
• Track graduate employment outcomes and maintain records.
• Maintain materials and resources for student services and career info.
• Participate in campus committees and initiatives as requested.
