Friends University is seeking to fill the Career Services Manager position in Wichita Kansas. The Career Services Manager leads the career services department and oversees career development programs, resources, and services. The Manager connects with local employers to build corporate connections for career fairs, internships, and employment opportunities for students and alumni. The Manager oversees Oasis, a support resource for our adult and graduate students in partnership with the business faculty and leads Credit for Prior Learning to identify how work experience and professional training equate to college credit. Supervise student workers and graduate assistant. Work hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday. Additional evening and/or weekend hours may be required.

Two years of general business or higher education experience in, or related to, career planning, HR and employment services, including direct career counseling to students preferred. Knowledge of practices and procedures for awarding prior learning credit and knowledge of adult learning is essential. Previous supervisory experience and MS Office skills preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in business administration, counseling, or closely related field preferred.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Must possess strong decision-making, problem solving, and research skills.
