Job summary

Coastal Carolina University is seeking a Career Services Consultant (Student Assistant) to support students and alumni in exploring career paths on campus. As a front-line representative, you will assist with desk operations, schedule appointments, and help promote Career Services through outreach and events.

You must be an active CCU student and commit to varied hours in a student role. This position provides hands-on experience in career advising, customer service, and campus outreach,

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized guidance and facilitate career exploration for students and alumni.
• Act as a front-line representative of the Career Services Center.
• Be available during all scheduled Career Services On the Go (CSotG) hours: Monday and Thursday 9:30 am-11:30 am and 1:30 pm-3:30 pm.
• Manage front-desk operations, including greeting guests, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
• Assist with marketing efforts, promoting Career Services across campus and encouraging peer outreach.
• Support the CCU Career Services brand through coaching, outreach, and event engagement.
• Maintain a benchmark research agenda by analyzing peer institutions, synthesizing findings, and presenting recommendations to staff.
