Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Moody College of Communication seeks an Assistant Director to lead the Eastin Center for Career Readiness. You will deliver career advising, coordinate internships, and support curricular and co-curricular career education.

You’ll supervise student staff, promote events, and manage center communications, ensuring timely, high-quality services aligned with campus goals and equity standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in communications or higher education-related field is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build partnerships across offices and departments.
• Strong presentation skills in-person and online.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality career advising and coaching to students across Moody College majors.
• Advise in a hybrid environment, in person and online, for resumes, interviews, and internships.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver industry-focused career programs and workshops.
• Oversee internship funding administration and curricular support activities.
• Supervise undergraduate student staff and maintain training materials.
• Manage communications, event promotion, and student outreach to ensure brand alignment.
