Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin, Moody College of Communication, seeks an Assistant Director to lead the Eastin Center for Career Readiness on UT's main campus. You will oversee career advising, internship funding, and curricular/co-curricular career education while collaborating with academic units and student groups.

You will supervise undergraduate staff, promote events and employer connections, and work with faculty and student organizations to align services with student needs and college

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in communications or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build partnerships across multiple offices and departments.
• Keen awareness and familiarity with marketing events for college students.
• Strong presentation skills both in-person and online.
• Demonstrated initiative and follow-through with tact and judgment.
• Work with flexibility, punctuality, and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, student-focused career advising and coaching across Moody College of Communication majors.
• Advise in a hybrid environment (in person and online).
• Plan, coordinate, and present industry-focused career programming and workshops.
• Supervise undergraduate staff and course assistants; assist with internship funding administration.
• Manage communications and event promotion to drive student participation and employer connections.
