Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, workforce development, social work or education and 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Master's degree in social work and education strongly preferred.
• Travel is required to program sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for documentation.
• Ability to use public transportation for meetings and home visits.
• Commitment to strength-based/youth development approach.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of Connections and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of four Fair Futures Coaches across NYC programs.
• Provide weekly supervision to address educational, employment and vocational needs.
• Collaborate with Fair Futures Educational and Permanency Specialists.
• Coordinate with on-site Residential Program leadership.
• Review progress notes, data and goals weekly.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to improve access to education and career services.
• Build community resources linking to ACS, ACCES-VR, NADAP, One-Stop, DYCD, etc.
• Plan and run fairs and college tours for career opportunities.
• Guide Coaches using motivational interviewing to craft Ed/Voc/Career plans.
• Assist with Preparing Youth for Adulthood (PYA) groups and sessions.
• Identify longer-term career pathways aligned with interests and plans.
• Participate in trainings and program evaluations; manage data in Connections.
• Promote Sanctuary Model commitments in daily practice.
• Ensure Coaches have external support and materials to perform tasks.
• Develop activities exploring career and education pathways.
• Track employment, training, internships outcomes monthly/quarterly/annually.
• Support college applications and scholarships; assist with essays.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human services/workforce development/social work/education

Masters in social work and education preferred
