Job summary

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is seeking a School to Work Coordinator to support students in the Midlakes CSD and North Rose Wolcott CSD. This 10-month, 0.40 FTE + 0.60 FTE split position pays $52,341–$61,805 annually, commensurate with experience, and offers robust NYS retirement and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS teacher or school counselor certification is required.
• A valid extension of Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs or NYSED extensions is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing job search activities and provide work-based learning opportunities to students.
• Develop and conduct scheduled visits of all co-op work experiences.
• Collaborate with school counselors on career exploration, planning, and preparation.
• Assist graduates in securing employment or post-secondary education related to career interests.
• Maintain records such as monthly reports and required evaluations.
• Coordinate job search seminars covering resumes, applications, and interviewing skills.
• Conduct follow-up placement studies and employer evaluations of the program.
• Facilitate round-table discussions with faculty and business representatives on initiatives.

Education

Valid NYS teacher certification (grades 5-9, 7-12, or all grades)

School counselor certification

Valid extension of Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs or NYSED extensions
