Job summary

The Excel Center Clarksville is seeking a College & Career Readiness Specialist to build relationships, programs, and systems guiding students toward viable postsecondary paths. You will provide advising, case management, and connections to certs and dual-credit opportunities tailored to each student’s plan.

You will work with community partners and campus staff to ensure successful transitions from enrollment to graduation and into work or college, with ongoing follow-up to sustain success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human relations, rehabilitation counseling, or related fields.
• Industry knowledge in secondary or higher education and career counseling/workforce development.
• Working knowledge of G Suite and MS Office; familiarity with student information systems.
• Excellent communication skills across oral, written, and digital channels; ability to understand needs and respond appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains relationships with community partners, certification providers, and employers to aid student needs.
• Implements programs to expose students to workplace experiences; refers students to opportunities and tracks them.
• Connects students to dual credits and certification opportunities aligned with postsecondary plans.
• Leads graduation capstone activities and adapts them to meet diverse student readiness and interests.
• Partners with administration to set and monitor graduation outcomes and enrollment goals.
• Supports staff with professional development and goal setting; promotes a high-performance culture.
