POSITION SUMMARY
A project engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete a project on-site. The project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of the project on-site.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status
• Ensure the alignment with Plant Operation to avoid disruption on operations when executing project engineering initiatives
• Give visibility and report the status of the different projects (safety, quality, service, timing, budget, objectives achievement) to be consolidated within Project Engineering.
• Interact with vendors to make sure there is alignment in schedules, plans and budget of the project.
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or four (4) years equivalent experience
• One (1) year experience in project management
  

License/Certifications

• Project management certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish reading, writing & speaking.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy and an inquisitiveness to determine explanations, with an ability to consolidate multiple sources of analyses into a cohesive recommendation.
• Proficient with Microsoft office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
