Job Objective

Incumbents in this role tend to operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in a continuous production/processing operation, following production/process specifications or instructions as documented and directed. They monitor meters, gauges, and related controls to ensure adherence to specifications, while performing all work in accordance with safety and quality procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Operate machinery according to specifications to maximize production yields and minimize downtime.
• Perform setup, operation, maintenance, and changeover procedures on assembly machines within referenced parameters.
• Be LOTO Certified and demonstrate compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures per company standards.
• Maintain operating records, including machine log books and other documents for audits, following SOPs and WIs.
• Start and stop machines, comply with emergency E-stops, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Read machine control panels and touch screens; monitor digital communication equipment. Identify and correct system errors and faults.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, report abnormalities, and make minor adjustments and repairs within written work instructions.
• Adhere to SOPs, cGMP, safety, and housekeeping requirements; may train others as assigned.
• Verify components before use and report discrepancies.
• Perform inventory control tasks within component staging areas.
• Respond with a high sense of urgency and take action when needed.
• Execute required Cleaning & Sanitization (CNS) tasks if applicable, and other duties as assigned.
• Operate, set up, and run Drum-Tote Filler.

Education and Experience - Required

Must be able to read, understand, and implement SOPs and WIs. Proficiency obtained through on-the-job training. Prior mechanical experience with manufacturing equipment is required, including troubleshooting and training others.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
