Tallahassee State College (TSC) invites applicants for a grant-funded Career Navigator role with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) – Florida Youth College. The Navigator will provide individualized counseling to DJJ youth in residential facilities, focusing on career assessment, exploration, and post-release planning to support workforce success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Three years of related experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized case management and counseling to DJJ youth.
• Guide youth in career assessment, exploration, and post-release planning.
• Develop tailored success plans and coordinate with program partners.
• Coordinate referrals, registrations, and enrollments into postsecondary programs.
• Maintain ongoing communication with families, partners, and youth via multiple channels.
• Track progress with follow-ups at multiple milestones.
