Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Passing grade on CDL written exam with tanker endorsement; no air brake restrictions (Class A or B) and interstate status within 60 days after hire.
• Successful completion of a work simulation and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems, including filling joints, patching potholes, flagging traffic and setting up traffic control devices.
• Repair and maintain state highway facilities, signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, buildings and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport staff and materials, plow snow and spread ice control materials; use mowers, augers, backhoes, forklifts and various trucks.
• May install and repair signs, inspect signs, pour footings, weld posts and service related structures.
