Job summary

MoDOT is seeking qualified Maintenance Workers to support the upkeep of Missouri’s state highway system. The role involves hands-on work across roadways, facilities, and equipment, with opportunities to advance through a career ladder based on skill and experience.

Candidates must meet minimum qualifications, including a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL with tanker endorsement and related testing, plus the ability to pass a medical-physical exam and a work simulation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Passing score on CDL written exam and driving test with tanker endorsement and interstate status within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems, patch potholes, manage traffic control devices, and move materials.
• Maintain and repair state highway facilities, signs, guardrails, and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport crew and equipment, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and operate related machinery.
• May repair bridge decks and drains, and install/maintain signs.
