Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill in Waco is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver instruction to participants and community partners within the Mission Services department. In-person sessions and virtual delivery will be used as designated by management, with travel to required locations.

You will create and modify curricula, assess skill levels, and guide participants to connect with resources. Strong communication, organization, and computer training capabilities are required; prior instruction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in customer service preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience providing instruction or training preferred.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing to a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Provide training through class instruction or one-on-one sessions in topics such as employability skills, financial literacy, soft skills, and computer training.
• Administer assessments to determine participant skill levels and needs.
• Travel to required locations and represent Heart of Texas Goodwill professionally in the community.
