Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College – The position of Career Development Specialist – P05619 – P05619 with DOC – Jackson Correctional Institution.

Responsibilities

• Administration and interpretation of assessments
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum
• Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s approved form, DC5-149 “Correctional Daily Attendance Roster” (Attachment #2)
• Providing information pertaining to pre‑release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officer’s
• Assisting the Pre‑Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre‑release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development through face‑to‑face and technology-based interactions

Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma
• Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
• Bonus points: an Associate’s Degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field
