Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a full‑time grant‑funded opening for the position of Career Development Specialist, Gulf CI – Position 10036 with DOC - Institution. What You’ll Do

• Administration and interpretation of assessments;
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum;
• Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department;
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered;
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s approved form, DC5-149 "Correctional Daily Attendance Roster" (Attachment#2);
• Providing information pertaining to pre‑release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officer’s;
• Assisting the Pre‑Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre‑release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development through face‑to‑face and technology‑based interactions.

Who We’re Looking For

• An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Bonus points if you have: An Associate’s Degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.
