Job summary

DREAM is seeking a dynamic Career Development Manager to lead career programming for DREAM’s students and alumni, building partnerships with corporate partners and university career centers. The role focuses on internship expansion, job-search support, and ongoing career development in a high-growth environment.

The position reports to the Director of College & Career Success and requires strong leadership, collaboration across teams, and a commitment to advancing opportunities for underserved

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4+ years working with young adults required.
• Experience facilitating career programming required.
• Database management experience (Salesforce) required.
• Event planning experience preferred.
• Experience managing a team and volunteers is a plus.
• Experience in corporate settings is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to travel within NY, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead career programming (Legends Career Conference, networking events, workshops, career fairs).
• Collaborate with Advancement and stakeholders to cultivate career partnerships (corporate partners, university centers, CTE programs).
• Lead and grow internship programming and external opportunities for students/alumni.
• Co-lead career exposure opportunities with the Dean of Student Life (visits, summer program).
• Coordinate with Alumni Engagement Manager to connect alumni to opportunities.
• Own and implement systems to organize career exploration and employment opportunities; track outcomes in Salesforce.
• Develop resources (resume templates, interview guides, planning tools) for counselors.
