Reporting to senior leadership, the Career Development Manager will collaborate with Human Resources, Recruiting, and operational leaders to strengthen internal talent, enhance employee retention, and align development initiatives with business objectives.

This role is best suited for an experienced professional who enjoys working in a mid‑sized organization where broad responsibility, collaboration, and hands‑on execution are valued. Candidates from highly specialized enterprise learning environments should recognize that this position offers greater organizational impact across a smaller, more agile workforce.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide individual career coaching, professional guidance, and development planning for employees.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify workforce development needs and implement effective learning solutions.
  • Measure program effectiveness through reporting, employee feedback, and performance metrics while providing updates to executive leadership.
  • Research and pursue workforce development grants and other external funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Recruiting, and leadership while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Career Development, Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating employee or leadership development programs.
  • Strong communication, coaching, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as business needs require.
