Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years).
• Two years of experience related to the duties of this position.
• Experience with websites, mobile apps, and virtual environments for job search and recruiting systems.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, advising, and marketing skills.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events and classroom presentations.
• Knowledge of job market trends and confidentiality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Advise students one-on-one and in group presentations on career topics.
• Interact with faculty and staff to maintain relationships and present to student orgs.
• Utilize technology and social media to support career resources and CMU’s portal.
• Develop presentations, programs, and outreach activities; market services to students, employers, and parents.
• Supervise student employees and engage with employers for internships and career activities.
• Participate in university and professional associations to promote CMU’s Career Development Center.
