Job summary

Colby College invites experienced professionals to apply for a reimagined full-time Career Design Advisor and Business, Financial Services and Consulting Professions Specialist role within the DavisConnects Office.

Reporting to the Director of Career Design Advising, you will shape Colby's advising system, guide students in industry pathways, and connect with alumni and employers to support student trajectories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to coach students in clarifying interests, strengths and goals for career decisions.
• Knowledge of labor-market trends and recruiting in business/financial services/consulting.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise a designated portfolio of Colby students on career and life design.
• Develop and lead advising programs, workshops, and resources across business and consulting tracks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to expand alumni mentorship, internships and employment opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with faculty, alumni, employers and external partners.
• Evaluate advising outcomes and contribute to program improvements.
