Job summary

Jericho Project is seeking a Career Counselor in The Bronx to provide workforce development services and support tenants in achieving employment, education, and skills goals. You will collaborate with case management and Business Services to align employment and educational plans with housing stability objectives.

The role requires delivering services to up to two sites as needed, managing job readiness portfolios, and maintaining AWARDS system records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Knowledge and experience in workforce development and service delivery to low-income individuals with significant barriers to employment.
• Ability to work in a team environment with collaboration and meeting performance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of about 100 participants across multiple buildings to access education/training and employment.
• Engage participants in all phases of enrollment in Workforce Opportunities services; conduct assessments and create service plans.
• Develop client engagement strategies and maintain high participation in WfO services; bi-weekly outreach and progress notes.
