Job summary

Grant Associates is seeking a dedicated career counselor/case manager to support participants in workforce development programs. You will conduct screenings, assess skills and goals, develop IEPs, provide ongoing case management, and connect participants with training and supportive services.

The role emphasizes documentation, adherence to WIOA, and collaboration with training providers to help participants achieve employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in career counseling, case management and Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business, Education, or related field or 5 years equivalent experience with HS Diploma
• Strong counseling, coaching, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage caseloads of 30+ participants and meet performance targets
• Proficiency in data systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital workspaces (examples: common AI tools, Sharepoint, MS Teams)
• Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with barriers to employment

Responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility screenings and enroll participants into WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and/or Youth programs
• Perform comprehensive assessments of participant skills, interests, barriers, and career goals
• Develop individualized employment plans (IEPs) with measurable goals and timelines
• Provide ongoing case management, including regular follow-ups and documentation
• Maintain accurate and timely participant records in case management systems
• Deliver career counseling, labor market information, and job search assistance
• Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills, and job readiness
• Assist participants with career pathway exploration aligned with in-demand industries in the Cincinnati region
• Connect participants to supportive services such as transportation, childcare, and work-related needs
• Identify and coordinate occupational skills training opportunities (e.g., ITAs, on-the-job training, apprenticeships)
• Monitor participant progress in training programs and ensure successful completion
• Collaborate with training providers, community colleges, and partner agencies
• Ensure adherence to WIOA regulations, policies, and meet team/individual performance metrics
• Track outcomes such as employment placement, retention, and earnings
• Prepare reports and documentation for audits and program monitoring
• Maintain confidentiality of participant information
