Job summary

WWAARC in Queensbury, NY is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist for the Supported Employment Program (SEMP). This 35-hour, hourly non-exempt position offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour plus longevity benefits and varied schedules to meet department needs.

You will provide assessments and job coaching through OPWDD and our ACCES-VR contract, helping individuals develop résumés, search for jobs, prep for interviews, and receive onsite coaching to maintain employment in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Meet WWAARC certification requirements (First Aid & CPR, and Decision Driving).
• Preferred master’s or bachelor’s degree in human services/business or related field with 1 year of experience, or a combination of education and 2 years’ experience.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have a personal vehicle to provide services.

Responsibilities

• Develop resumes, conduct job searches, and prepare individuals for interviews.
• Provide onsite job coaching and supports to help individuals maintain employment.
• Assist caseload members in achieving successful employment in the community.
