Job summary

Madison Strategies Group is seeking a dedicated Career Advisor to help individuals determine, pursue, and reach educational and career goals in Tulsa, OK. The role emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and data-driven progress tracking within a supportive team.

You will interview clients, guide goal setting, assist with training enrollment, and collaborate with the Business Services Team to place graduates in suitable roles. Strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education; BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a professional office environment.
  • 1–2 years mentoring, coaching, or related experience.
  • Ability to plan, identify priorities, and provide solutions.
  • Must have schedule flexibility; occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Drive; adapt to new tech.

Responsibilities

  • Interview potential customers to determine suitability for the program.
  • Provide customers with individualized career guidance, coaching, and support to help them complete educational training courses, gain and retain employment, and pursue advancement opportunities.
  • Assist program participants with enrollment in technical training programs.
  • Guide customers in creating goals for education and employment, track progress, and provide support to achieve them.
  • Support customers enrolled in technical training tracks through weekly class check-ins, peer huddles, and workshops.
  • Assist customers in overcoming obstacles to training completion and employment, including scheduling, childcare, transportation, and life events.
  • Make referrals to family support and mental health staff.
  • Work with Business Services Team to match job opportunities to graduates and job seekers.
  • Maintain frequent communication to build trusting relationships.
  • Record daily activity and case notes in Salesforce.
  • Participate in industry associations and professional development activities.

The Primary Responsibilities of the Career Advisor include:
  • Interview potential customers and determine suitability for the program.
  • Provide customers with individualized career guidance, coaching, and support to help them complete educational training courses, gain and retain employment, and pursue advancement opportunities.
  • Assist program participants with enrollment in technical training programs.
  • Guide customers in creating goals for education and employment, track customers' progress toward achieving their goals, and provide support to achieve them.
  • Support customers enrolled in technical training tracks through weekly class check-ins, peer huddles, and workshops.
  • Assist customers in overcoming obstacles to training completion and employment, including scheduling challenges, childcare, transportation, family crises, and other life situations.
  • Make referrals to family support and mental health staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Services Team to determine the types of jobs that match the skills and qualifications of training graduates and job seekers.
  • Maintain frequent, ongoing communication with customers to build trusting relationships.
  • Track monthly and quarterly goals for training completion, job placement, and customer engagement.
  • Record daily activity and case notes in Salesforce, including phone calls, emails, services delivered, class visits, and other customer interactions.
  • Participate in industry associations and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education; BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative work culture
  • 1–2 years mentoring, coaching, or relatedexperience.
  • Skilled in planning, identifying priorities, and providing solutions
  • Must have schedule flexibility; occasional evening and weekend work required.
  • Comfortable conducting presentations in front of large groups and a one-on-one setting.
  • Desire to work as part of a team driven by data and results, dedicated to achieving positive outcomes while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have proficient computer skills and experiencewithof Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Drive, with the ability to adapt to new equipment and technology.
  • Salesforceor similar software preferred.
  • Must have personal transportation that can be used throughout the workday
