Job summary

Sky Heart Home Care Services in Wilmington, NC is looking for a compassionate Care Transport Associate (Driver) to join our team. You will transport clients safely to medical appointments, therapy sessions, pharmacies, and community locations, while providing friendly, patient-centered service.

Role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to assist clients with limited mobility. We offer flexible routes with pay based on completed routes and client signatures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (no major violations in the past 3 years).
• MUST HAVE OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
• Prior experience in a transportation role preferred, but not required.
• Ability to assist clients with limited mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid, PASS training and Defensive Driving training required (can take through the company).
• Excellent communication, empathy, patience, and use of mobile technology.
• Min availability of working 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, errands, and other destinations 50 miles or more
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those with mobility challenges
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all times
• Communicate effectively with care coordinators regarding scheduling and client needs
• Monitor and report any changes in client condition or behavior to appropriate staff
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies
• Provide courteous, patient-centered service to all clients and their families.

*The amount of money you make is based on your availability and available routes. You can go as far as you want to go. You are paid based on each route complete with applicable client signatures. *
