Qualifikationen

• High School Graduate/GED or Equivalent Work Experience (minimum 2 years) as a Patient Access Rep or Financial Counselor in a healthcare setting.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Computer literacy and proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization.
• Ability to multitask and maintain a work pace appropriate to workload.

Aufgaben

• Coordinates discharge plans with case managers and providers to facilitate discharge and resource coordination.
• Performs basic reception tasks, registers patients, and verifies insurance coverage accurately.
• Communicates with patients and physicians to ensure continuity of care and provide required instructions.
• Determines patient eligibility relative to program/insurance standards and resolves billing questions promptly.
• Acts as Data Steward for PHI and prepares reports on volume and tracking as needed.
