Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full-Time Care Technician in Clermont, FL to provide direct patient care for county employees and their families in a busy health center.

You’ll room patients, perform basic labs and point-of-care testing, conduct drug screens and pre-employment exams, and daily phlebotomy while building strong patient relationships; standard hours Monday–Thursday 9am–6pm, Friday 8am–5pm, with no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Certification with hands-on training in BLS/CPR required.
• High School/GED required.
• Associate degree or equivalent Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Maintain patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Perform routine CLIA-waived laboratory tests and EKGs.
• Assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, and order medical supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Care Technician, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Clermont, FL. The scheduled hours are Monday - Thursday 9a-6p; Friday 8a-5p.

Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends, offering a consistent work-life balance.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Performs routine CLIA waived laboratory tests, operates EKG and other diagnostic equipment, and collects specimens.
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Required

High School/GED

What You’ll Bring

• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Program training program preferred.
