Reston Hospital Center in Reston, VA, is hiring an Administrative Care Tech PRN to support the patient care team. The role involves greeting patients and visitors, performing receptionist duties, and helping with patient charts while maintaining confidentiality.

The successful candidate will assist nursing staff with basic patient care, monitor supplies, and participate in equipment setup and cleaning, ensuring a clean, safe environment and responsive service to patient needs.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in waiting areas, directing them to other departments, and keeping them informed of wait times.
• Promotes a positive, customer-oriented demeanor.
• Perform patient-centered secretarial tasks, such as physician order entry and creating, labeling, and organizing patient charts. Disassemble and file charts after discharge.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Perform rounding and respond to call lights and patient requests.
• Assist in the setup, removal, and cleaning of equipment.
• Identify malfunctioning equipment and initiate repairs.
• Monitor unit and patient rooms to assess availability of supplies.
