Job summary

Reston Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team and provide hands-on care in a busy hospital. You’ll assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily personal care to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Your responsibilities include aiding with preparation and transfers, keeping areas clean and stocked, supporting infection control, and communicating with patients, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of related healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keeping patient areas clean, organized and stocked to maintain safety.
• Managing supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families and the care team.
