Northwest Human Services is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and has been a leader in providing advocacy, quality healthcare and social services in Marion and Polk counties since 1970. We are a mission focused organization providing compassionate and professional medical, dental, psychiatry, mental health, and wraparound services for those in our community who need it most - uninsured individuals, families, the homeless, and migrant workers.

Care Team Medical Assistant (I-II-III, IV)

Site Location: Total Health Community Clinic | 180 Atwater St N, Monmouth OR 97361

Position Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, with rotating Saturdays

Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (Internal candidates that are currently employed here at NWHS are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.)

As an active member of the care team, the Medical Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting patients during routine office visits and supporting ongoing health management. You will contribute to the overall patient experience by performing clinical tasks with a focus on safety, accuracy, and empathy. In this role, you’ll also help monitor and maintain patient health records, ensuring documentation is complete and consistent with care plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and training in a Medical Assistant/Nursing/Medical program that includes coursework in pharmacology/administration of medications preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification as an RMA, CMA, NCMOA, NCMA, preferred.
  • CPR certified in infant, child, and adult levels.
  • One year of experience in a medical clinic setting preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred – Bilingual in English/another language and able to pass proficiency testing.
