Job summary

Mosaic Pharmacy Service, part of RxAnte, is seeking a Care Team Manager for our on-site operations in Sterling, VA. You will lead the day-to-day care team, oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance, and drive scalable processes across workflows including data entry, pharmacist verification, and shipping coordination.

You will collaborate with HR, Training, and Operations leadership to meet KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality patient care with a 24/7 coverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
• Experience managing a large, multi-disciplinary healthcare or operations team.
• Ability to direct, coach, and mentor leaders and front-line staff with strong problem-solving and timely decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across leadership, peers, and staff.
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (BOP, Medicare, LTC, state, and federal).

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech Supervisor(s), and Lead Technicians; build a bench of leaders.
• Owns hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for the full care team; partner with HR and L&D.
• Establishes and enforces workflow processes; coordinate with Production Manager to meet shipment goals.
• Oversees coordination with assisted living facilities for onboarding, orders, and cycle prep.
• Partners with Call Center Manager to ensure SLA and issue resolution.
• Monitor productivity and financial KPIs with VP Operations/PIC; manage overtime and per-patient shipments.
• Analyze metrics to identify trends and staffing gaps; input on budgets.
• Support root-cause analysis with Compliance; ensure regulatory adherence.
• Manage on-call scheduling for 24/7 coverage and after-hours escalations.
• Foster a positive, accountable team culture and retention.

How You'll Make a Difference

Reporting to the VP of Operations/PIC, you will lead the day-to-day operations of Mosaic's pharmacy care team, directly managing the Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech Supervisor(s), and Lead Technicians, with indirect oversight of the broader care team.

In this role, you will help Mosaic build repeatable processes and drive staffing, training, workflow, and performance results across a fast-paced, scaling healthcare operation.

Your work directly supports Mosaic's members by ensuring the care team delivers timely, accurate medication delivery and a consistently high standard of pharmacy care.

The care team is the branch of Mosaic Pharmacy that interfaces directly with patients and providers to provide essential patient care management to Mosaic Pharmacy members in a closed-door setting.

What You'll Do

• Leads and manages the Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech Supervisor(s), and Lead Technicians, providing direction, coaching, and accountability, and builds a strong bench of front-line leaders.
• Owns hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for the full care team, partnering with HR and Learning & Development on scalable training programs.
• Establishes and enforces workflow processes across areas including data entry, initial pharmacist verification, inbound/outbound phones, insurance adjudication, and more, and partners with the Production Manager to meet shipment date goals
• Oversees coordination with assisted living facilities for new resident onboarding, daily and STAT orders, and cycle prep.
• Partners with the Call Center Manager to ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution of patient, provider, and staff issues.
• Partners with the VP of Operations/PIC to establish and monitor productivity and financial KPIs, including overtime, per-patient shipments, and rework.
• Analyzes operational metrics and staffing models to identify trends and staffing gaps and provides input on staffing budgets and resource planning.
• Partners with the Pharmacy Quality and Compliance Manager on root cause analysis and corrective action plans, and supports a culture of regulatory compliance with BOP, Medicare, LTC, state, and federal requirements.
• Manages on-call pharmacist scheduling to support Mosaic's 24/7 pharmacist coverage and provides backup coverage for after-hours escalations.
• Fosters a positive, accountable team culture that supports staff engagement and retention across a team of this size.

What 're Looking For

Required

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in a healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing a large, multi-disciplinary healthcare or operations team spanning both leaders and front-line staff; experience managing large teams strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and mentor a team of leaders and front-line staff, with strong problem-solving skills and sound, timely decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across leadership, peers, and staff.
• Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, relevant regulatory frameworks (BOP, Medicare, LTC, state, and federal pharmacy regulations).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); comfortable learning and standardizing use of pharmacy operations systems.
• Comfortable operating in a growing, evolving organization where processes and team structure continue to scale.
• Available for full-time, on-site work Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with periodic evening and weekend availability for escalations and on-call support.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Preferred

• Prior experience in pharmacy operations (e.g., LTC, mail order, specialty, or adherence packaging pharmacy); candidates with strong healthcare operations leadership from other settings are also encouraged to apply.
• PharmD degree or pharmacist licensure.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or a similar process-improvement methodology.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to $170,000/year. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus. Actual compensation within the range is determined by factors including experience, skills, and internal equity.
