Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Must be adaptable to a changing environment.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Pharmacology principles preferred.
• Prior experience in health care/medical office preferred.
• Working knowledge of an EMR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the care team by performing basic patient cares and non-clinical functions such as order entry, form completion, prior authorization, panel management, faxing, equipment cleaning, room stocking and inventory checks.
• Demonstrates professionalism and strong communication with patients, families and coworkers.
• Maintains regulatory requirements and follows Mayo Clinic policies and standards.

Responsibilities

Supports the care team by performing basic patient cares and non-clinical functions such as: Order entry, form completion, prior authorization, panel management, faxing, equipment cleaning, room cleaning/stocking, monitoring supply inventory/expiration dates, and other duties as assigned. Functions as a team member and displays professionalism while interacting with patients, families and co-workers. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, initiative, proficiency, and good judgment to optimize the use of the care team's time and maintain a smooth work flow. Exhibits appropriate use of telecommunications equipment and uses computer efficiently. Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and excellence are important components of this role.
