Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Scheduling Specialist for Home Health. You will manage patient referrals and visits using an online scheduling system, and collaborate with the Team Leader to match patient needs with clinicians.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred candidates have 1+ year of healthcare scheduling experience and strong organizational, customer service, communication, and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years scheduling experience in a health care setting using an online scheduling system.
• Exceptional organizational, customer service, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of state and federal regulations governing OASIS visits, supervisory, and reassessment visits.

Responsibilities

• Maintains calendar of services using automated scheduling system for episodic and per-visit customers.
• Processes workflow for scheduled, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and delivered visits.
• Monitors pending referrals daily and assigns licensed professionals and case managers for start of care visits.
• Communicates daily with field staff regarding visits unaddressed in late, pending, or incomplete status.
