Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Care Pharmacy Technician to assist in medication management and ensure timely fulfillment of patient orders. Under supervision, you will support adherence, coordinate medication delivery, and facilitate pharmacist collaboration for clinical needs.

You will handle patient orders, maintain records, and process insurance claims while following PHI/EPHI privacy rules and established workflows. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license or trainee license from the Texas State Board and state of residence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to read and transcribe pharmaceutical information.

Responsibilities

• Understand confidentiality with respect to PHI/EPHI; follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Provides telephonic follow up with members for medication management.
• Coordinate delivery of medications to the patient.
• Facilitate patients to the Pharmacist for clinical needs.
• Manage patient orders to the Pharmacist verification stage.
• Complete tasks related to medication management services.
• Access and update information in the Pharmacy's computer network.
• Obtain refill authorizations from prescribers.
• Process and prepare third-party insurance claims.
• Maintain accurate patient/client profiles.
• Provide medication management using prescribed workflows.
• Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Complete documentation in Care Management systems.
• Answer phones and route calls to appropriate personnel.
• Accept prescriptions and ensure data for filling is complete.
• Handle customer issues calmly and notify pharmacist as needed.
• Promote teamwork, professional services, and clear communication.
• Recognize scope/limitations of job requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
