Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in the Midwest is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician to manage prescription and OTC medication inventory, assist customers, and support pharmacy operations with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

You will maintain medication inventory, process prescriptions, answer customer inquiries, and support daily pharmacy functions to ensure patients receive the right medications promptly and with care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of pharmacy experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred; candidates must be registered or have applied for registration prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and courteously to customer requests for medication or information.
• Process prescriptions and input into computer systems.
• Assist with maintaining medication inventory and organizing OTC shelves.
• Count, label, and verify medications, including basic NDC checks.
• Communicate with physician offices for refills and new prescriptions.
• Answer telephone calls and assist customers with OTC purchases.
• Complete required annual education and training.
