Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Illinois is seeking a Care Partner / CNA for the 4 East unit, working 7am to 7:30pm. You will support nursing staff and patients, help create a safe and caring environment, and perform direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of an RN.

The position requires a HS diploma and an active IL CNA, with BLS/CPR within 90 days of hire. Compensation is experience-based; growth and on-site training are available.

Qualifications

• Completion of 1st semester of RN program or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Applies cardiac monitor in alignment with policies, procedures, and orders.
• Documents and reports care delivered under RN supervision.
• Maintains infection control standards in daily tasks.
• Promotes safety with fall risk precautions and patient-specific precautions.
• Assists with ambulation, turning and repositioning to support comfort.
• Provides direct age-appropriate care, assists with ADLs, performs EKGs and finger-stick glucose tests.

Care Partner / CNA (4 East) - 7am-7:30pm *CNA required!

Care Partners are responsible for providing assistance to staff and patients, helping to create a safe and supportive environment.

They perform duties in the direct and indirect treatment of patients as directed by RN staff.

Performs computer charting functions to ensure an accurate and complete patient record.

Hours: 7am-7:30pm, weekend and holiday rotation

Requirement: HS diploma, active CNA in the State of IL

Responsibilities

• Applies cardiac monitor in alignment with approved policies, procedures, and physician orders.
• Completes assigned tasks in alignment with infection control standards.
• Documents and reports care delivered to patients under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Obtains and maintains professional knowledge by completing required knowledge and skills through orientation and competency activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, and seeking new clinical learning opportunities.
• Promotes a safe environment by maintaining high fall risk precautions, skin risk precautions, and patient specific precautions.
• Promotes patient comfort and mobility through ambulation, turning, and repositioning.
• Provides direct age-appropriate care to patients under the supervision of the RN. Assists with activities of daily living, performs EKG's and finger stick blood sugars and bladder scans.
• Supports relationship-based care by providing compassionate, holistic care to patients, family, and co-workers and promoting a safe, caring, and healing environment.

Requirements

• HS diploma, active CNA in the State of IL
• High School (Required) BLS or CPR certification (within 90 days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln, CNA or completion of 1st semester of RN Program - Sarah Bush Lincoln

Compensation Estimated Compensation Range $18.68 - $28.95 Pay based on experience
