About the role

As a Night Shift Caregiver, you’ll help ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night.

• Provide whole-person care with calm, reassurance, and respect
• Support residents’ comfort, rest, and overnight needs
• Be a steady, dependable presence during overnight hours

What you’ll do

• Assist with ADLs as needed (toileting, hygiene, mobility, repositioning)
• Perform safety checks and respond to call lights
• Offer gentle reassurance and companionship during overnight wake-ups
• Monitor residents and report/document changes per policy
• Uphold infection control, safety, and overnight protocols
• Support hydration, comfort measures, and early-morning routines

Skills & attributes

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable—especially during overnight hours
• Calm problem-solver with strong observation skills
• Clear communicator who works well independently and as part of a team
• Adaptable and attentive in a quieter, lower-staffed environment
• Interest in dementia-support techniques

Relatable experience

• Assisted living, memory care, or caregiving roles
• Overnight caregiving or healthcare experience (preferred)
• Hospitality, healthcare, or customer service backgrounds welcome
