Job summary

Appone in Yucaipa, CA is hiring a Care Partner to support seniors with daily living activities in a warm, compassionate team.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility, monitor health, provide companionship, and help with light housekeeping while ensuring safety. Full-time and part-time roles available; benefits include vacation, 401(k), and education reimbursement. Wage starts at $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and work in a team.
• Good verbal communication; read/write English with residents.
• Licensing documentation (if required by state) and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities.
• Monitor health, document changes, and report to Wellness Team.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Engage in social activities and enrich residents' well-being.
• Communicate with residents, families, staff, and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and light housekeeping.

What You'll do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder's health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.

What You'll Bring

• You will bring good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
