Job description

Job Title: Care Navigator
Job Location: Remote - TX
Job Duration: 07 Months (Possibility to extend)
Shift:

Hours of operation are 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM CST. We have four different shifts: 8:30-5:00, 9:00-5:30, 9:30-6:00, 10:00-6:30.

Breaks:

During training, a 1-hour lunch break. Once assigned to a shift, 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.

OT Potential:

Support other departments as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the MSC Department by answering calls for STAR+PLUS members.
  • Handle inbound calls from call center, covering for staff on LOA, FMLA, and open positions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, educate Medicaid members on benefits and services such as PCP changes, ID cards, transportation, and other services.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Must haves: Good attendance, call center experience, familiarity with MCO insurance.
  • Nice to haves: Background in Service Coordination and call center experience.
Education/Certification:
  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: BA in Social Work or Healthcare Management, LVN, CNA, CMA, RT, Pharmacy Tech.
Licensure:
  • Not applicable; preferred: CHW.
