Job summary

Seaton Senior Living in Maryland is seeking a Care/Medication Technician to provide hands-on care and support for residents in a home-like environment.

You will perform daily living activities, monitor residents' health, assist with medications under supervision, and document changes. CPR/First Aid preferred; CNA certification preferred.

This role offers flexible scheduling, full-time and part-time options, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred
• First Aid Certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for designated group of residents during shift and monitor wellbeing.
• Observe, report and document symptoms and changes in residents.
• Respond to call bells promptly and notify supervisor if care needs increase.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation of resident suites and restrooms.
• Serve meals, assist with feeding, and manage food trays as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living for independence and safety.
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities.
• Greet and assist residents, guests, family, vendors, and staff.
• Perform resident laundry as assigned.
• Review service plan for medications and assist/observe medications using the Six Rights.
• Document and initial medication administration and notes for refusals or missed doses.
• Restock medication cart and maintain the Medication Room.
• Counts narcotics with Nurse each shift and report concerns to HCC.
• Follows refill process for medications and participates in service plan updates.
• Reports occupational exposures to blood or hazardous materials.
