Job summary

Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging seeks a compassionate Service Navigator to help seniors access services, provide options counseling, and connect clients with long-term supports. You’ll meet clients where they are — in person, by phone, email, or at home visits — and tailor referrals to individual needs.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in human services or related field preferred; Associate’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience considered.
  • Direct experience in human services (especially working with seniors) preferred.
  • Strong interviewing, counseling, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

What You’ll Do

Requirements


  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of aging services, long-term options, and caregiver issues.

  • BA/BS degree in human services or related field preferred; Associate’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience considered.

  • Direct experience in human services (especially working with seniors) preferred.

  • Strong interviewing, counseling, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to lift/carry 5–10 lbs. and work in diverse environments.
