Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver to support a designated group of residents during shifts, performing personal care tasks and monitoring safety. You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transfers, and eating, while ensuring comfort and dignity.

The role emphasizes compassion, independence, and wellbeing, with companionship, activity participation, and timely responses to bells and security systems.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with superior customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities

• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
• Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
• Other duties as assigned
