Job summary

Yona Solutions in Hamtramck, MI is seeking a Laundry Aide to support residents and staff by handling linen, transporting supplies, and maintaining clean laundry facilities. Experience is optional but preferred and on-the-job training will be provided.

In this role you will operate washers/dryers, fold and sort laundry, and ensure accurate inventory records while maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for residents and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and sanitizers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates flexibility, integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively with residents and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Transport laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sort and load items; fold, inventory and distribute linen and clothing.
• Maintain clean and organized laundry areas and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of linen inventory and stock levels.
• Deliver laundry as specified to residents and staff.
• Provide customer service with a caring and respectful attitude.
