Job summary

Heartis Village Peoria Senior Living is seeking caring and dependable caregivers to join our community in Peoria, IL. We offer full-time and part-time roles with flexible schedules and a warm, resident‑centered environment.

As a caregiver, you will provide hands-on care and emotional support, helping residents with daily activities and maintaining a safe home-like setting. CNAs preferred, with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • CNA certification preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Prior experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership.
  • Compassionate, resident‑focused approach with superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Sound judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care and physical and emotional support to residents.
  • Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating).
  • Respond to resident calls and security alerts promptly.
  • Promote independence while ensuring safety and dignity.
  • Maintain clean and organized resident rooms and work areas.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and enrichment programs.
  • Notify supervisor or care coordinator if care needs increase.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Role:

As the Caregiver , your role includes providing hands‑on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home‑like environment.

Position Highlights:
  • Status: FULL TIME or PART TIME
  • Schedule: Flexible Schedules including every other weekend
  • Location: 8201 N. IL Route 91, Peoria, IL
  • Rate of Pay: Based on Years of Experience
What You’ll Do:
  • Responsible for designated group of residents during shift; ensures awareness of whereabouts and conducts frequent checks
  • Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
  • Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly
  • Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well‑being
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
  • Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
  • Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
  • Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
  • Other duties as assigned
