Job summary

Heartis Village Peoria is seeking dependable caregivers to join our team in Peoria, IL. This part-time role provides hands-on care for residents in a welcoming, home-like environment.

You will support daily living activities, ensure safety, and promote dignity and comfort while delivering compassionate companionship and attentive service to our senior residents.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or equivalent preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior experience with seniors is preferred.
• Good communication with residents and team members is essential.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance.
• Maintain a safe, home-like environment and ensure resident rooms are clean and organized.

Your Role:

As the Caregiver , your role includes providing hands-on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

Position Highlights:

• Status: PART TIME
• Schedule: Various day including every other weekend
• Location: 8201 N. IL Route 91, Peoria
• Rate of Pay: Based on years of experience

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for designated group of residents during shift; ensures awareness of whereabouts and conducts frequent checks
• Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly
• Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well-being
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
• Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse’s Aid (CNA) certification preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with superior customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
